Marineland

On this visit to Toronto, Auntie Tasnim and Kumayl were visiting from Houston and we all went to Marineland! The drive was great until Auntie Taz commented on the lack of traffic, almost immediately we were stuck bumper to bumper on the QEW. Then the kids were getting cranky because of naptime and Nyah threw a fit because poor Kumayl was looking at her. We pulled over and with the help of Da and the DVD player we were on our way.

Marineland was packed and we were lucky to find parking in their overflow lot! $80 later we were in the park. Nyah loved the dolphins although she wouldn't accept them as dolphins. To her they were fish. I told her she would see a Walrus but we were disapointed that the walrus was not available during the show. (He must have been brushing his teeth!) Nyah's consolation prize was a kiss from Kumayl!

We spent the whole day walking from Killer Whales, to Beluga Whales to the Dolphin and Seal show to feedig the bears and petting the deer. All the while listening to the two kids talking to eachother.
One we had exhausted all the living attractions and our legs, we went on the rides! There were only a few that the kids were allowed on so we only went on the ferris wheel, roller coaster and dragon boats. She was an inch to short for the spaceship ride! (But she was way short for the roller coaster and they didn't seem to mind then)

After dinner at Tim Hortons and McDonalds the kids eventually passed out in the backseat and we had a peaceful drive home!
