Scaredy Baby!

Today Nyah and I went to the Bronx Zoo with our friends Shonna and Austin. We had a great few hours (until Nyah and Austin decided to take a nap)

We strolled around a few exhibits before we found the Children's zoo. Here the kids got to roam free from the stroller and see the animals up close and personal. In some cases too personal!

Austin loved the animals and wanted to get right in with them! Nyah on the other hand would look at them from far and then come hide behind mommy's legs. She would follow the prarie dogs along the perimeter of their enclosure and then run to me to make sure they didn't get her!

I thought she would love the turtle and bunny but she wouldn't even go close to them. She kept pointing and saying turtle or hop hop, but she wasn't going to go much closer than a foot!

Then we came to the larger farm animals...Llama's, sheep, goats, cows, horses, peacocks, chickens, etc. She wanted to look, make their respective animal sounds but she absolutely did not want to touch!

She even got scared when we wanted to take pictures of her sitting in the birds nest and turtle shell (artificial ones set up for pictures)

I hope she gets over this fear of animals otherwise my zoo membership will be wasted!
