Talk-a-holic

I wonder where she gets her gift for gab??? Nyah has become quite the talker these days! All day, to herself or me or her toys or reading her books or just whenever. Some are real words others are just her own language which will one day develop into real words. It is so funny to listen to her when she thinks she is alone - she has this whole mini conversation with herself!

It's definitely exciting to hear her communicating and actually getting her point across using some words! Of course she has learned all the most important things and a few useful extras... Here's a glimpse into her budding vocabulary...

Mama, Dad Dad, Na Na (which means Nyah, Nani and Nana), knee, tar (car), tra'ter (cracker), wa wa (water), ba (banana or down), book, dog, Elmo, hand, toes, foot, buh (brush), bat (bath), up, bir bir (Big Bird), nack (snack), bur (bread), mum mum (food), ta ta (bye bye or outside), ba ba (also bye bye), ha (Hi), twit (tweet or bird), duck, bur burt (yogurt), Zeze (Zoe), bo (Gymbo - her clown), ball, soos (shoes), da (blankie), sit, more, aye un (all done), sing (swing), eing (earing), tee (teeth), ma (mouth) -- hmmm that's all I can think of at the moment - there are many more but it's late and I can't think anymore! You'll have to hear for yourself to really get the sounds right!
